What a super fun show last night in Lakewood, OH!
Always great seeing so many OGs from over the years coming out to celebrate the Mega Years! 🎸
💀 And it’s always extra fun when Vic Rattlehead shows up to join the party!
Fun fact:
During my years in Megadeth, we never had the Vic Rattlehead mascot appear on stage — until one night in Cleveland, around 2012. That evening, an enthusiastic fan came to the meet & greet completely dressed as Vic — mask, suit, and all. We loved it so much, we invited him to join us on stage during the encore of “Peace Sells.” The crowd went nuts, and the bit totally worked!
That same fan later donated the entire costume to us, and from that moment on, Vic became a regular part of the show — worn by different crew members around the world. Unfortunately, that original outfit was lost by an airline in Lima, Peru, on the way to La Paz, Bolivia (circa 2013).
But Vic never missed a beat! We had a new suit made, and he’s been thrashing with us ever since.
Here’s to keeping the tradition alive… see you out there! 🎶
